Dr Martin Noltze
Martin Noltze is senior evaluator and team leader at the Competence Center for Evaluation Methodologies. He has over 15 years of experience in development evaluation and has been employed at the institute since 2012. At DEval, Martin works on the advancement of evaluation methods and standards and on contributions to strengthening the (inter)national development evaluation system. Under his professional leadership, Martin is responsible for thematic evaluations of development cooperation in the areas of climate, environment and sustainability. His methodological focus lies on meta-evaluations and evidence syntheses, rigorous impact evaluations and theory-based evaluation approaches. He holds a MSc in economic geography and a PhD in agricultural economics.
