Development Cooperation from a Partner Perspective

Partner perspectives are of particular relevance for Germany and the international donor community, because partner countries can increasingly select with whom they cooperate. Thus, this report analyses (1) how policymakers and practitioners in low- and middle-income countries assess the support for internal policy processes they receive from Germany and other donors and (2) what these donors can do to improve their support in the eyes of their partners.

Die Evaluierung leistet damit einen Beitrag zur institutionellen Weiterentwicklung von Engagement Global. Die Empfehlungen sollen zur Stärkung ihrer Handlungsfähigkeit und zur Verbesserung ihrer Unterstützungsangebote dienen.

weltwärts Volunteers and their Civic Engagement in Germany

The development volunteer service “weltwärts” enables young adults to participate in a volunteer service in countries of the Global South. The evaluation focuses its analysis on what volunteers learn, how they are changed by participating in weltwärts, and their civic engagement after they return to Germany.
