Dr Helge Zille
Helge Zille joined DEval in October 2022. Previously, he completed a PhD at the Department of Economics at the University of Copenhagen, with a stay at Columbia University in New York. In his dissertation, he studied economic and industrial development in Myanmar and Vietnam, as well as international trade and armed conflicts. Before his PhD studies, he already worked on Myanmar and Vietnam as a consultant for the United Nations University – World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER). He gained further experience in international cooperation as an intern at the German embassy in Colombia, as well as a staff member at the Heidelberg Institute for International Conflict Research (HIIK). Helge Zille studied Economics (B.Sc.) at the Universities of Heidelberg and Valencia, and Global Development (M.Sc.) at the University of Copenhagen.
