Our Evaluations

This evaluation by DEval analysed how the promotion of agricultural value chains by German development cooperation has effects on poverty reduction and food security in the Global South. A close look was also taken at its effects on gender equity and environmental sustainability.

Companies that wish to operate in developing and emerging countries can apply to the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development for support through the develoPPP.de programme. DEval analysed whether and how the proposal, approval and implementation of projects are affected by country-specific factors.

Strong health systems are the basis for enabling good health care for all. DEval examined what role German development cooperation plays in Health Systems Strengthening (HSS), and whether the German strategy meets the criteria of an integrated approach. The evaluation was completed in 2016.

For more than 60 years, German organisations have been sending development workers to the Global South. The goal of this DEval evaluation was to understand the impact of these experts and to establish which factors determine the success or failure of the assignments.
