Our Evaluations

One of the first projects that DEval worked on after the institute was established in the summer of 2012 was the “Baseline study of DEval and its environment”. This study served as a benchmark for subsequently assessing DEval’s achievement of the objectives it set itself. In addition, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development commissioned DEval to analyse the status quo of evaluation practice in German development cooperation.

Participation in international trade can have a positive impact on the economic development of poor countries. The German Federal Government thus set itself the goal in 2011 of comprehensively integrating trade-related activities into its development cooperation. A DEval study analyses whether the BMZ Aid for Trade strategy paper meets this requirement.

The German Federal Government supported the health sector in Rwanda from 1980 to 2012. At the end of this cooperation between the two countries, DEval investigated the impact that the cooperation had achieved during this period and the conclusions that can be drawn for cooperation with other countries in the area of health care.
