05.11.2018 - DEval joins research network on Mixed Methods and Multi Method Research
"Complex evaluations require an effective and efficient combination of methods in order to generate reliable evidence“ says Dr Sven Harten, department head of the Competence Centre for Evaluation Methodology of DEval. That’s why the department has recently established a research program on Method Integration in Complex Evaluation.
In order to strengthen cooperation with German and Austrian universities leading in mixed and multi-methods, DEval joins the Research Network on Mixed Methods and Multi-Method Social Research (MMMR), funded by the German Research Association (Deutsche Forschungsgesellschaft, DFG). The MMMR network is an interdisciplinary forum on the methodology and applications of integrative research methods. Dr Felix Knappertsbusch from the Helmut Schmidt University‘s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Hamburg is coordinator of the network. He welcomes DEval as new member of the network: "DEval as a federal research institute is the first non-university member of the network. We are glad that DEval joins the network, as it contributes experience in practical research and on evaluation in the field of development cooperation“.
