Miriam Nikitka

Miriam Nikitka has been an evaluator at DEval since April 2020. Prior to that, she worked as a consultant for monitoring and evaluation at GFA Consulting Group. In the context of various consulting assignments in the field of monitoring and evaluation she worked i.e. for the European Commission, the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). Her work focused on evaluation management and systems, complex and strategic evaluations, results monitoring and results reporting. She completed the postgraduate training programme of the German Development Institute (DIE) and conducted field research in Rwanda on the topic of "Results-based approaches". She wrote her master's thesis in cooperation with DEval on the topic "Development Workers". Miriam Nikitka holds a BA in Policial and Social Studies from the University of Würzburg and a MA in International Studies / Peace and Conflict Research from the University Frankfurt and the Technical University Darmstadt. She gained experience abroad in i.e. Thailand, Rwanda, Nigeria and Northern Macedonia.
