Marian Wittenberg

Marian Wittenberg joined DEval in August 2020. During his studies, he gained practical experience at the regional office of the German Development Finance Institution „Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft" (DEG) in Johannesburg, at the International Financial Institutions unit at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Private Sector Department at the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). Marian Wittenberg holds a M.Sc. in International Development and Management from the University of Lund in Sweden and a Bachelor of Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Witten/Herdecke, focusing on development economics throughout his studies. In his master thesis he examined among others the quality of rule of law on the ability of development banks to mobilize private investments to achieve the 2030 Agenda.
