Marcellina Schmidt
Marcellina Schmidt joined DEval as an evaluator in June 2022. She completed her bachelor´s degree in Social Sciences (BA) at the Ruhr-University Bochum and graduated from the international programme Master of Arts in Development Management at the Institute of Development Research and Development Policy. In her master thesis she conducted a qualitative case study analyzing the application of a human rights based approach to development to promote the right to education for pregnant girls and young mothers in Tanzania. Marcellina gained professional experience in various projects of the Kolping Education Centre Ruhr, as intern at the GLS Future Foundation for Development, as well as weltwaerts-volunteer in Peru, where she was involved in a project for the prevention of child abandonment and domestic violence.
