Ezra Bender
Ezra Bender is an evaluator at the Competence Center for Evaluation Methodology since April 2021. Prior to his assignment at DEval he was a M&E specialist for scaling innovations in agriculture and for corporate strategic evaluations at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). He studied „Geography of Environmental Risks and Human Security (M.Sc.)” at the Institute for Environment and Human Security of the United Nations University (UNU-EHS) and the Department of Geography of the University of Bonn. His thematic expertise is in the field of climate change (adaptation, mitigation and socio-ecological vulnerability) and rural development. In his master thesis, he investigated the social co-benefits of the international forest protection programme REDD+ for local communities. During his studies he gained relevant work experience in the field of development and climate policy at DEval and the German Development Institute (DIE).
