Dr Simon Ruhnke
Simon Ruhnke has been working as an evaluator at DEval's Competence Center for Evaluation Methodologies since February 2025. As a postdoctoral researcher at the Humboldt University of Berlin, he previously coordinated a transnational research project on migration to and from the Middle East with a focus on Turkey and Lebanon.
Dr. Ruhnke studied economics and philosophy at the University of Göttingen, the Universidad Publica de Navarra and the University of Utah. There he completed his PhD at the Department of Economics on quantifying the health care of undocumented migrants using machine learning.
