Dr Lea Kleinsorg

Lea Kleinsorg has been working as an evaluator at DEval since December 2023. Previously, she was a PhD student at the University of Antwerp in the Department of Social Sciences. Her PhD, which she successfully completed in October 2024, focused on the power effects of the discourse on female genital mutilation on affected and at-risk girls and women in Germany. Lea Kleinsorg has an academic background in geography and political science. She studied “Political and Social Studies” at Julius Maximilian University in Würzburg and “Disaster Management and Sustainable Development” at Northumbria University in Newcastle upon Tyne.
