Dr Karolin Süß
Karolin Süß has been working as an evaluator at DEval's Competence Center Methods since May 2025. She completed her doctoral degree at the University of Duisburg-Essen and the Ruhr Graduate School in Economics. In her research, she uses quasi-experimental designs to study the impact of family policy reforms on maternal health, as well as the health and labor market effects of military service in the GDR.
She previously studied Political Science and Economics (BA) and Economics (MSc) at the University of Münster and Kültür University in Istanbul. She also completed internships at the KfW IPEX-Bank and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Istanbul, as well as a voluntary service in Brazil.
