Dr Christoph Dworschak

Dr Christoph Dworschak started working as an evaluator of the Department “State Fragility, Conflict and Governance” in January 2025. He also serves as the Senior Advisor on Quantitative Methods of the interdisciplinary Beyond Compliance Consortium funded by the FCDO, where he works with a large socio-legal team of researchers and practitioners on a research programme on International Humanitarian Law: “Building Evidence on Promoting Restraint by Armed Actors.” Before joining DEval, Christoph was Assistant Professor of Quantitative Political Science at the University of York and had previously engaged in research and teaching at the University of Mannheim, the Bundeswehr University Munich, the University of Essex, Princeton University, the Peace Research Institute Oslo, and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. As a university lecturer, he taught research methods, statistics, and substantive topics in Comparative Politics and Peace Studies. Christoph’s research is published in leading scientific journals and has been awarded two prestigious field prizes.
