Dennis Busemann studied sociology, psychology, media science and gender studies in Marburg, Germany and Cuernavaca, Mexico. Since 2006 he is working in development cooperation in various positions such as head of development cooperation, project manager, consultant and development worker. At the Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) he specialized in fields like result-based planning, monitoring and evaluation, capacity development, gender equity and strategic issues in German development politics. He also designed and implemented evaluations. In Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru he has several years of work experience. Before he came to DEval in September 2017 he worked as head of development cooperation in the German embassy in Quito coordinating the cooperation and the performance of the German Government on the UN Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development HABITAT III in Ecuador.
