New Evaluation Capacity Development (ECD) project Focelac+ started
The project will develop innovative ECD formats and share DEval's existing ECD experiences with a broad group of stakeholders.
At the beginning of 2021, the new project Focelac+ has started at DEval.
The project will develop innovative ECD formats and share DEval's existing ECD experiences with a broad group of stakeholders. The spectrum of topics ranges from work on inclusive evaluation approaches (see EvalParticipativa.net) to the promotion of young and emergent evaluators and the strengthening of national evaluation systems to a virtual course for people who plan, manage and use evaluations.
Focelac+ aims to help ensure that evaluations in selected countries serve accountability, transparency, and learning, and thus strengthen good governance as a prerequisite for achieving the 2030 Agenda.
To achieve this, Focelac+ works closely with diverse partners around the world who are also dedicated to strengthening evaluation capacities. This includes the newly formed Global Evaluation Initiative GEI. Focelac+ will focus on Latin America, but will also work beyond Latin America, together with GEI partners.
