13.08.2018 - „National Forum on enhanced Land-Use Planning“
„This evaluation comes at an opportune time” states Atty. Ria Corazon A. Golez-Cabrera – Commissioner of the Philippine Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board in her opening keynote speech at DEval’s National Forum on enhanced Land-Use Planning in the Philippines.
On August 9, 2018, DEval convened key stakeholders of the national Philippine planning administrations, development cooperation, academia and Philippine civil-society organizations in Quezon City, Philippines for an open and dynamic discussion on conclusions and recommendations of DEval’s recently published evaluation report “Impact, Diffusion and Scaling-up of a Comprehensive Land Use Planning Approach in the Philippines”.
In a time where the Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte lifts the harmonization of land-use policies on the national agenda, DEval’s evaluation report supports the process of setting the course towards improvements to the Philippine planning framework.
Beyond keynote speeches of representatives of the German development cooperation, the forum’s workshops engaged all groups in a lively discussion on advancing in inter-agency cooperation, civil-society participation as well as plan implementation and public accountability.
