05.06.2018 - Latin American Evaluation Week #Eval2018
As last year, the Latin American and Caribbean evaluation week takes place during the first week of June (4th-9-th of June). DEval’s project FOCEVAL is one of the organisations that promote and organise this event. During the evaluation week, public sector actors, as well as civil society and academia in various Latin American countries offer activities relating to the topic of evaluation. The evaluation week affords the opportunity for exchange about the significance of monitoring and evaluation for the continuous enhancement of public policy and government programmes. In total, 141 activities will take place in 19 Latin American Countries.
DEval’s project FOCEVAL participates in this event as well: 18 activities will take place in Costa Rica and FOCEVAL is involved in many of them. Those activities are e.g. a round table discussion about the development of evaluation capacities, a workshop „Introduction to Impact Evaluation“, exchange between Ecuador and Costa Rica on lessons learned and challenges in implementing evaluations and a workshop on ex-ante evaluation.
