Ronald Mulyanti Kitanda
Ronald Mulyanti Kitanda is part of DEval Evaluation Capacity Development team since August 2023 as an Evaluator. He has over 20 years’ experience in evaluation capacity strengthening for NGOs, Community development initiatives and related actors in the field of development cooperation. This he has undertaken as a trainer, social researcher, process consultant, and evaluator, in Africa (Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, South Sudan, Zambia) and Europe (Germany, Ireland). As an evaluator, he has led and been part of evaluation teams at different levels, often as the specialist in the `what and how’ of evaluations as undertakings. Capacity building, participatory evaluation and qualitative research are among his core areas of competence and interest, a result of which he focused his postgraduate studies in Development on the subject of capacity building through training, and also contributed to a publication of `A Dictionary of Participatory Tools and Techniques for Community Work in Uganda’. He holds a master’s degree in development studies from the Development Studies Centre (now School of International Development) at Maynooth University in Ireland, and a bachelor’s degree (Hons) in social work and social administration from Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda. He has also undertaken related specialist training in Germany, France, India and Tanzania.
